The new year is almost here, and January comes with a New Moon in disciplined Capricorn and a Full Moon in creative Leo. What do they have in store for us? P.S. A new moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact same position in the Zodiac (called a conjunction). New moons are related to beginnings, have high energy, and are enthusiastic.
What is a Full Moon?
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact opposite positions in the Zodiac (called an opposition). Full moons are related to endings, culminations, and are emotional energy.
New Moon in Capricorn: January 11th 2024 (6:58AM ET/3:58AM PT)
The first lunar event for the year is a New Moon in Capricorn, and since Capricorn is the sign ruling our goals, ambitions, and direction, this is a great way to start off the new year. This is especially true since Mercury retrograde ended on New Year's Day, and we likely went into the new year with less-than-stellar focus on what we wanted to achieve.
This New Moon allows us to get clear about what we want, and we can drill down and get working. We can put together long-term plans for the rest of the year or beyond, and can make the most of opportunities to get started. Once we start, we can be disciplined, ethical, hard-working, and focused. We can feel ambitious, and want to make sure that we're building a solid external foundation for our lives. We can be responsible, and can take the work we're doing seriously. The new moon is trine (beneficial aspect, 4 signs away) transit (moving) Uranus in Taurus, and this helps us make changes that are necessary to get to where we want to go. We can also be clearer with the future, and focus on what we dream of and hope for. We can be willing to step outside of our comfort zones when needed, which is good since Capricorn is very traditional, so we can embrace both conventional and unconventional methods. The new moon occurs at 20 degrees 44 minutes Capricorn. The aspects to the new moon are: Conjunction: 18 degrees 44 minutes - 22 degrees 44 minutes Capricorn Sextile: 18 degrees 44 minutes - 22 degrees 44 minutes Scorpio or Pisces Square: 18 degrees 44 minutes - 22 degrees 44 minutes Aries or Libra Trine: 18 degrees 44 minutes - 22 degrees 44 minutes Taurus or Virgo Opposition: 18 degrees 44 minutes - 22 degrees 44 minutes Cancer Full Moon in Leo: January 25th 2024 (12:54PM ET/9:54AM PT)
The Leo Full Moon is a fantastic time for inspiration, and we can feel connected to our hearts. This helps us be more creative, so we can make progress with creative pursuits, and can see results from creative projects and ventures.
This also helps us connect with our loved ones, and we may want more time with the people we love. We can focus on strengthening our spiritual connections with them, and work on being more generous with our hearts. Leo isn't very good with work, so we may lack a work ethic with this Full Moon. We'd rather have fun, get time away from the mundane, and enjoy ourselves. This can especially be the case if you've been stressed out and working too hard, and are in need of a break. The full moon is square (challenging aspect, 3 signs away) transit Jupiter in Taurus, and this adds to the idea that we may need a break and aren't super focused on work and tasks and chores. We can be lazy and indulgent and prone to excess, and we'd rather get time off. Make sure to get any work done you need to with the Capricorn New Moon, and then plan for some time off with the Leo Full Moon. The full moon occurs at 5 degrees 15 minutes Leo. Aspects to the full moon are: Conjunction: 3 degrees 15 minutes - 7 degrees 15 minutes Leo Sextile: 3 degrees 15 minutes - 7 degrees 15 minutes Gemini or Libra Square: 3 degrees 15 minutes - 7 degrees 15 minutes Taurus or Scorpio Trine: 3 degrees 15 minutes - 7 degrees 15 minutes Aries or Sagittarius Opposition: 3 degrees 15 minutes - 7 degrees 15 minutes Aquarius Suggested Reading: The New & Full Moons page for general interpretations by house and aspect Neptune in astrology is one of the generational outer planets, along with Uranus and Pluto. These planets spend a long time in one Zodiac sign, so entire generations often have them in the same sign. Neptune is our spiritual selves, and connects to the subtle energies all around us. Neptune Astrology & Your Natal Chart
There are ten planets in a standard astrology chart (I personally also add Ceres, and there are others, but we start with the ten). Each planet links to a different part of your personality and life. Your natal chart is a snapshot of the locations of the planets, other bodies, and houses in the Zodiac at the moment you're born and from the location you're born at.
Neptune is the natural ruling planet for water sign Pisces, the most fluid and flexible of the signs, and naturally connects with the twelfth house, the house of endings and the hidden. At-a-Glance Neptune Keywords:
Neptune in Astrology: Spirituality
In your natal chart, your natal Neptune rules your spiritual self. It can show how you connect to your spiritual self, your spirituality and spiritual beliefs, and your connection to the beyond.
Conjunctions (alignments by other planets to your Neptune) tend to be strong, though the other planet can take over Neptune at times, while Neptune can hide the planet it's conjunct. There is often some trauma or baggage associated with the conjunct planet, and dealing with that is important. When it comes to transits, the transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Neptune can impact your connection to your spiritual self, either strengthening this connection with sextiles and trines, or challenging it with squares and oppositions. Neptune in Astrology: Intuition
Neptune governs our intuition, and can show where you use and benefit from your intuition with the house in your natal chart it's located both natally and in transit. This is where you have to strengthen your connection to your intuition, and where you can get intuitive insights.
Neptune in Astrology: Imagination and the Arts
Neptune in astrology rules imagination and the arts, specifically art itself and music, though imagination can also link to writing. Neptune rules fantasy, what's not of this world, and this lends itself to creative inspiration, and creativity can often be the only way to express what is felt with Neptune. Creativity can also bypass the need for conscious or thought-out expression, which can be difficult sometimes, and with Neptune being foggy, not having to be practical and focused is a big help.
Neptune in Astrology: Compassion and Empathy
Neptune in astrology rules compassion and empathy. Thanks to the strong imagination, Neptune helps us envision what it's like for others, to put ourselves in others' shoes, without having to actually experience it ourselves. This gives us empathy, and that makes us more compassionate and understanding.
Neptune in Astrology: Sacrifice
Neptune in astrology rules sacrifice. Neptune wants to be of service, but not in a broad way like Uranus. Neptune wants to be of service in a deeply personal, one-on-one kind of way, and thanks to the supreme compassion and empathy, is willing to make sacrifices to help.
This part of Neptune is where needing healthy boundaries is very important, because with Neptune, it's easy to be taken advantage of. We want to help so much, and the manipulative among us can take-take-take if we're not careful. Neptune in Astrology: Dissolving
Transit Neptune's base energy is to dissolve. This often means that it takes away something from whatever natl planet it's touching with a conjunction, square, or opposition. This isn't usually traumatic though; in fact, we often don't even realize it until the transit is over. Neptune causes it to fade out of existence rather than be something big and loud like Uranus or Pluto.
Sextiles and trines by transit Neptunecan still dissolve something, however we can be more aware of this, and see it as a good thing, or are the ones who are making it go away. Neptune in Astrology: Obscuring
Neptune is known as the foggy planet. It has obscuring energy, and can hide whatever it's in contact with. In your natal chart, the house natal Neptune is located can get this energy, and you may not see everything there is to see, and have to work at being more grounded. This can also be the case with any natal planets natal Neptune is conjunct, square, or opposite.
Transit Neptune can also obscure, temporarily with the areas of life ruled by the house it's touring in your natal chart, and with the natal planets it's conjunct, square, or opposite. This is hidden from you, and you may not realize what's been out of your view until Neptune has moved on. Where Your Neptune Energy is Found
For everyone, look to the Zodiac sign and natal house your Neptune falls in. The energy of the Neptune sign is how you connect to your spiritual self, intuition, imagination, and compassionate side, while the areas of life ruled by the house your Neptune falls in are where you need to operate on intuition and be creative. Also look to the natural planetary ruler of your Neptune sign (the natural planetary ruler of the Zodiac sign your Neptune falls in) as this can also connect to the Neptune energy.
Planets that are conjunct (aligned with) your natal Neptune can be super important with your spiritual self, and can show where you need to be intuitive. But, they can also be obscured by Neptune, and you have difficulty seeing them consciously. They can be sources of major creativity and artistic talent though. Transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Neptune can bring some temporary energy for the Neptune matters. This can impact you spiritually with Neptune, but can also impact the areas of life ruled by the house your Neptune falls in, as well as the areas of life ruled by the house your Neptune rules (so the house that falls in Pisces). The most challenging aspects to your natal Neptune can be hard transit Saturn (since Saturn is realistic and gets annoyed by the imaginative intuitive nature of Neptune), and hard transit Chiron (since Chiron rules our wounds and Neptune can struggle with boundaries so we can be wounded easily). Make sure to sign up for the free monthly worksheet to keep track of the transit planets impacting your natal Neptune and aspects by transit Neptune every month! A Strong Natal Neptune in Astrology
Some may have a more important natal Neptune. This can be the case for you if you have:
- a stellium (3+ planets) including your natal Neptune - your natal Neptune conjunct an angle - your North or South Node in your Neptune sign - your 1st house ruler conjunct natal Neptune - your natal Neptune anaretic (at 29 degrees) - retrograde Mercury, Venus or Mars conjunct your natal Neptune If your natal Neptune is in a stellium, it can either make your natal Neptune disappear so it gets overtaken by the other planets in the stellium, or it can make it so Neptune obscures the stellium and you have a hard time accessing the energy consciously. You likely need to connect to it subconsciously, and have a block to work through. But it can be a source of great ability and power once you do. If your natal Neptune is conjunct a retrograde Mercury, Venus or Mars, you likely have an alternative way of connecting to your spiritual self, your intuition, your imagination, and your compassion. There can be a big block or old trauma associated with this though, and that has to be worked through first before you can find that alternate way. An anaretic natal Neptune can show you either are way too much into your Neptune and get lost in fantasy, can't handle reality, and are super easily manipulated and taken advantage of, or you shy away from your Neptune completely and have difficulty connecting to your intuition, spirituality, and imagination at all. Balance, moderation, but also working through issues and blocks are needed. Neptune conjunct an angle makes a spiritual connection, imagination, and strong intuition more important for that angle; conjunct your North Node, you can have great potential with your spirituality, intuition, and imagination, but need to get through fear of this first; conjunct the South Node, you may have a deeply spiritual side, but can use it as a crutch to avoid reality and have to learn to deal with the physical world; and conjunct the 1st house ruler, you can be super charismatic and empathetic, but have to keep healthy boundaries in mind.
Uranus is the natural ruling planet of air sign Aquarius, the sign of friends and groups, and connects with the eleventh house, the house of dreams and change. At-a-Glance Uranus Keywords:
Uranus in Astrology: Change
Uranus is, first and foremost, the planet of change in astrology. In your natal chart, this can show how you change, your approach to change, and where you change. You can crave changes throughout your life with the areas of life ruled by the house your natal Uranus falls in. Things just can't stay the same for very long before you get bored. Change is how you stay focused with these areas, and it's how you best grow and learn.
In transit, transit (moving) Uranus can bring changes to whatever it's touching in your natal chart. You can experience changes in the areas of life ruled by the house transit Uranus is currently touring, and you can experience changes that are helpful with beneficial aspects (sextiles and trines) to your natal planets, and have challenging changes with challenging aspects (squares and oppositions). When transit Uranus is conjunct something in your natal chart., whatever it rules can undergo a major, massive change. Uranus in Astrology: Unconventional
Uranus is the planet of the unconventional, and this links it to ruling change. Uranus wants to focus on what's different, to step outside comfort zones and push boundaries. Uranus doesn't care about tradition or what's conventional or "normal". Normal is totally overrated to Uranus.
Uranus in Astrology: Independent
Uranus is one of the independent planets in astrology (along with Mars and Jupiter, I'd say). Uranus is independent because it wants to do things in its own way, and its own way if totally different from everyone else's.
Uranus in Astrology: Charity
Uranus rules charity in astrology, and this is helping others in a broad way. Neptune rules volunteer work and helping people one-on-one, while Uranus takes a wider view and opts for helping in ways that have a bigger impact on more people. Uranus is the humanitarian and the environmentalist.
Uranus in Astrology: Groups
Uranus also rules groups, which is funny because it also rules independence, but Uranus can see how things impact everyone broadly, which makes it a good temperature-taker for groups. Uranus can understand what is needed to work well with groups, and can feel it out.
This also means Uranus is ruler of friends, our social circle, and our acquaintances. Uranus in Astrology: The Future
Uranus is the planetary ruler of the future, and is focused on not the next step, or the step after that, but 100 steps later. It peers into the future and beyond, and this is part of what helps Uranus be charitable and work well with groups. It has a sense of where the future is headed.
Uranus in Astrology: Science
Uranus is one of the science rulers in astrology along with Pluto. Pluto is into science because it loves research and investigation, solving problems and asking hard questions. Uranus is into science because it loves change and understands the future, and science provides a way to create big changes and launch us into the future.
Where Your Uranus Energy is Found
For everyone, look to the Zodiac sign and natal house your Uranus falls in. The energy of the Uranus sign is how you change, while the areas of life ruled by the house your Uranus falls in are where you need change. Also look to the natural planetary ruler of your Uranus sign (the natural planetary ruler of the Zodiac sign your Uranus falls in) as this can also connect to the Uranus energy.
Planets that are conjunct (aligned with) your natal Uranus can show areas of your life where you experience constant change, and have to embrace things being very different from the norm. Nothing traditional here! Transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Uranus can bring some temporary energy for Uranus matters. This can impact change with Uranus but can also impact the areas of life ruled by the house your Uranus falls in, as well as the areas of life ruled by the house your Uranus rules (so the house that falls in Aquarius). The most challenging aspects to your natal Uranus can be hard transit Saturn (since Saturn is traditional and restrictive, this can bring challenges with change and being independent and unconventional) and hard transit Neptune (since Neptune is foggy, this can make it difficult to grasp change and to see what happening fully until it's too late and too much has been thrown off). Make sure to sign up for the free monthly worksheet to keep track of the transit planets impacting your natal Uranus and aspects by transit Uranus every month! A Strong Natal Uranus in Astrology
Some may have a more important natal Uranus. This can be the case for you if you have:
- a stellium (3+ planets) including your natal Uranus - your natal Uranus conjunct an angle - your North or South Node in your Uranus sign - your 1st house ruler conjunct the natal Uranus - your natal Uranus anaretic (at 29 degrees) - natal Uranus as a singleton (only planet in an element, modality, or house type) If your natal Uranus is in a stellium, this can bring an unconventional flavor to your stellium. Change is likely needed to make use of the stellium, and you can do things differently. There can be flashes of brilliance and sudden progress at times with the stellium, and you may not be able to do things in a traditional way. If your natal Uranus is conjunct an angle, this can bring unconventional energy to whatever that angle rules. You may experience many changes in your life with those areas of life, and you likely need more independence. If your natal Uranus is conjunct your Ascendant or your 1st house ruler, you may come across like an Aquarius, and can be seen as quirky and eclectic. If your natal Uranus is in your natal North Node sign, you may sudden attain your potential and purpose, and find you make progress quickly or even instantly, and whatever your potential and purpose is, it's likely unusual in some way; and if your natal Uranus is in your South Node sign, you may feel super independent and unconventional and comfortable with this, however you may push everyone and everything away to maintain this, and this leads to loneliness and feeling like a freak, so that has to be worked on. If your natal Uranus is anaretic or a singleton, this greatly amplifies your natal Uranus energy. You can either be a super individual, completely anti tradition, and refuse to be boxed in at your own peril as you constantly rebel even when you're not a teenager, or you avoid this completely and are terrified of being independent, of standing out, or of change. You need middle ground here, to be independent and embrace change and your quirks, while also recognizing there are times when the traditional and conventional are the best option. Your natal chart is a snapshot of the locations of the planets, other bodies, and houses in the Zodiac at the moment you're born and from the location you're born at.
Saturn is the natural ruling planet for earth sign Capricorn, sign of goals, and naturally connects to the tenth house, the house of goals, life path, and direction. At-a-Glance Saturn Keywords:
Saturn in Astrology: Lessons
In your natal chart, Saturn is the planet of lessons. These are the biggest life lessons you have to learn, and you absolutely have to learn them. If you don't, Saturn will punish you, and Saturn's punishments can be absolutely brutal (only Pluto compares). Your Saturn lessons are found in the sign and house location of your natal Saturn, and these are the areas where you must learn.
Transit (moving) Saturn conjuncts (aligns with) your natal Saturn for the first time in your late 20's or early 30's, and this is known as the first Saturn Return. Usually, this is when we're forced to confront our Saturn lessons. If we do learn them, we can grow, mature, and life gets easier as a reward. If we keep avoiding them, we can keep getting punished by Saturn, pushed down and down, and continue to struggle in life. Saturn in Astrology: Limitations
Saturn's base energy in astrology is restriction. Saturn limits our options. This gets us to get focused, and to learn to work with what we have instead of lamenting what we don't. Saturn is always trying to get us to learn (as annoying as it can be sometimes).
Saturn in Astrology: Responsibility
Saturn in astrology rules responsibility. What we have to take responsibility for, how we manage responsibilities, and where these responsibilities can come from can be found with your natal Saturn. Those with a strong natal Saturn are often forced to deal with a lot of responsibility at a young age, and this likely has to be unlearned in adulthood; fewer will run away though, and Saturn just punishes them for it.
Saturn in Astrology: Maturity
Saturn wants us to be mature grownups. Adult like an adult. Saturn is the adult in the room, and doesn't care one iota for childish games. Where and how we mature and show maturity can be found with natal Saturn.
Saturn in Astrology: Authority
Saturn in astrology is ruler of authority figures. This can include leaders and bosses, as well as parents. Broadly, this includes governments, institutions, and the military. This makes Saturn a leader, along with Mars, but Mars is a leader because it's a pioneer and goes forth enthusiastically, while Saturn is a leader because it's responsible and takes on the hard jobs with maturity.
Saturn in Astrology: Ethics
Saturn in astrology also rules ethics. Saturn wants us to do the right thing in the right way and for the right reasons. This is the crux with our Saturn lessons, since it's not enough to simply learn them. No, we must learn them correctly. We must be smart with what we're focused on, we must go about it in the right way for all involved, and we may be motivated for good reasons.
Saturn in Astrology: Discipline
Saturn in astrology rules discipline, and is a planet that wants us to be totally focused. Saturn gets annoyed when we lose focus, when we get lazy, and when we goof off. This isn't what Saturn wants. Saturn demands we be disciplined with our energy, our time, our resources, our goals, and our connections.
Where Your Saturn Energy is Found
For everyone, look to the Zodiac sign and natal house your Saturn falls in. The energy of the Saturn sign and the areas of life ruled by the house your Saturn falls in are where you have major life lessons, can be restricted, and need to be disciplined. Also look to the natural planetary ruler of your Saturn sign (the natural planetary ruler of the Zodiac sign your Saturn falls in) as this can also connect to the Saturn energy.
Planets that are conjunct (aligned with) your natal Saturn can be restricted by Saturn, and can directly tie into the lessons you have to learn with your Saturn. You may have a hard time accessing the energy of those planets or bodies that are conjunct your natal Saturn until after you learn the lessons. Transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Saturn can bring some temporary energy for Saturn matters. This can impact you with your goals and discipline with Saturn but can also impact the areas of life ruled by the house your Saturn falls in, as well as the areas of life ruled by the house your Saturn rules (so the house that falls in Capricorn). The most challenging aspects to your natal Saturn can be hard transit Pluto (since Pluto fights for power, and you may struggle with controlling the passionate side of Pluto which can put you at risk), hard transit Uranus (since Uranus is unpredictable and unconventional, this comes at odds to Saturn), and hard transit Chiron (since Chiron rules your wounds, this can open up old wounds tied to your life lessons). Make sure to sign up for the free monthly worksheet to keep track of the transit planets impacting your natal Saturn and aspects by transit Saturn every month! A Strong Natal Saturn in Astrology
Some may have a more important natal Mercury. This can be the case for you if you have:
- a stellium (3+ planets) including your natal Saturn - your natal Saturn conjunct an angle - your North or South Node in your Saturn sign - your 1st house ruler conjunct the natal Saturn - your natal Saturn anaretic (at 29 degrees) - natal Saturn as a singleton (only planet in an element, modality, or house type) If your natal Saturn is in a stellium, this can restrict the stellium energy, and while stelliums are normally points of strength and talents in a natal chart, this may not be accessible to you until after you learn your Saturn lessons. This may come later in life, and may not be something you're even comfortable with when young. If your natal Saturn is conjunct an angle, this can bring highly restrictive energy to whatever that angle rules. You may not have full access to that angle until later in life. If Saturn is conjunct your Ascendant or your 1st house ruler, you may seem like a Capricorn, and come across as serious, mature, and responsible, but you may hide your true self quite a bit. If your natal Saturn is in your North Node sign, it can take time for you to access your potential and realize your purpose in life, and you may struggle quite a bit when young, but can be a powerhouse in your golden years if you learn your lessons; if your natal Saturn is in your South Node sign, you may carry a great deal of weight into this life, lots of past life and early life baggage, and this has t=o be shed to free you in this life, and your lessons might be ones that go across lifetimes. If your natal Saturn is anaretic or a singleton, this greatly amplifies your natal Saturn energy. You can either restrict yourself too much, holding yourself back with everything and taking on too many responsibilities that aren't your own, or you can completely avoid responsibility, run away from what's right, and refuse to grow up. Middle ground is needed, managing your responsibilities but not letting others off the hook while giving yourself some breathing room. It's also extra important for you to learn your Saturn lessons, and not doing so can result in major drama and catastrophes in life. Jupiter is the natural ruling planet for fire sign Sagittarius, the sign of optimism and adventure, and naturally connects to the ninth house, the house of higher education, long-distance travel, and beliefs. At-a-Glance Jupiter Keywords:
Jupiter in Astrology: Expansion
In your natal chart, your natal Jupiter rules what you expand and how you expand. Jupiter's base energy is expansion, first and foremost, and the sign your natal Jupiter is in can show how you expand while the house your natal Jupiter is in can show where you need to expand in your life. These are the areas of life where you must expand, otherwise you feel suffocated.
When it comes to transits, the transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Jupiter can impact your ability to expand and what you may expand. Conjunctions (alignments) can show you want to expand with whatever that transit planet or body rules, and hard aspects (squares and oppositions) can make it harder to expand, while beneficial aspects (sextiles and trines) can make it easier. Jupiter in Astrology: Opportunity
Jupiter is the ruler of opportunities. This is linked to Jupiter being the planet of expansion. Opportunities come along to help us expand and explore, and Jupiter wants us to take them. We may end up having extra opportunities in the areas of life ruled by the house natal Jupiter resides, or that come to us in ways ruled by the sign natal Jupiter falls in.
Jupiter in Astrology: Luck
Jupiter is the planet of luck in astrology. Remember that Jupiter is a beneficial planet, and doesn't want to bring anything bad to our lives. Jupiter wants us to take advantage of luck that's presented to us, and to make our own luck by taking chances on ourselves. We just have to be mindful of pushing our luck, since that can lead to issues.
Jupiter in Astrology: Optimism
Jupiter is an optimistic planet, only wanting to see the good. It doesn't care much for anything serious, mundane, practical, or dark, and wants lightness at all times. Jupiter is the big picture and big ideas that we can take advantage of, and this helps with being optimistic because it can see how everything fits together.
The downside is, this can sometimes lead to laziness and lacking motivation, because we feel so good that we don't feel the drive to take action. That leads to missing out on beneficial Jupiter. This is what has to be fought with the hard aspects in the natal chart and in transits. Jupiter in Astrology: Bold
Jupiter is bold, daring, wants to take a chance and get out and go. Jupiter isn't quiet and doesn't take a back seat. Jupiter wants us to take a chance, since this can lead to expansion in our lives and the creation of luck.
Jupiter in Astrology: Space
Since Jupiter is the planet of expansion, it also rules space. Your natal Jupiter sign can show how you get space, while your natal Jupiter house can show where you need space. These are the areas where we can push to do things our own way, and where we may have a tendency to run away, so we do have to control that.
Jupiter in Astrology: Beliefs
Jupiter in astrology rules our beliefs, and these can be religious and political. This links Jupiter to Venus-Ceres (ruling values) and Neptune (ruling spirituality). Jupiter can show what we believe in and can stand up for and defend, and we can be passionate about this.
Where Your Jupiter Energy is Found
For everyone, look to the Zodiac sign and natal house your Jupiter falls in. The energy of the Jupiter sign is how you expand, while the areas of life ruled by the house your Jupiter falls in are where you need space. Also look to the natural planetary ruler of your Jupiter sign (the natural planetary ruler of the Zodiac sign your Jupiter falls in) as this can also connect to the Jupiter energy.
Planets that are conjunct (aligned with) your natal Jupiter benefit from Jupiter's lucky, expansive energy, and whatever that planet or body rules, Jupiter expands on and can make lucky for you. Things may just have a habit of working out no matter what with the planet/body. Transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Jupiter can bring some temporary energy for the Jupiter matters. This can impact your ability to expand and pursue opportunities with Jupiter, but can also impact the areas of life ruled by the house your Jupiter falls in, as well as the areas of life ruled by the house your Jupiter rules (so the house that falls in Sagittarius). The most challenging aspects to your natal Jupiter can be hard transit Saturn (since Saturn restricts, this can restrict the expansive energy of Jupiter). But, there honestly aren't any really terrible aspects to your natal Jupiter because it's such an optimistic, beneficial planet. Even hard Saturn can be used in super productive ways that benefit you. Make sure to sign up for the free monthly worksheet to keep track of the transit planets impacting your natal Jupiter and aspects by transit Jupiter every month! A Strong Natal Jupiter in Astrology
Some may have a more important natal Jupiter. This can be the case for you if you have:
- a stellium (3+ planets) including your natal Jupiter - your natal Jupiter conjunct an angle - your North or South Node in your Jupiter sign - your 1st house ruler conjunct the natal Jupiter - your natal Jupiter anaretic (at 29 degrees) - natal Jupiter as a singleton (only planet in an element, modality, or house type) If your natal Jupiter is in a stellium, it'll actually enhance the stellium's impact on you, making it stronger thanks to Jupiter's expansive energy. The other planets involved get a big boost by Jupiter, and Jupiter can make the stellium a bit lucky for you. Natal Jupiter conjunct an angle can amplify the impact of that angle on your life, and that part of your life can get extra attention and be more important for your happiness. If conjunct your Ascendant or your 1st house ruler, this brings Jupiter's energy to your personality, and you can seem fairly Sagittarius (optimistic, gregarious, adventurous, fun). Jupiter in your North Node sign is a lucky position, and you may naturally fall into your potential and purpose with greater ease than mose; while Jupiter in your South Node sign can show you may fall to your bad habits a little too much, however you can utilize your strengths with greater ease, and once you put in effort, can release your bad habits. Your natal Jupiter can be extra elevated if it's anaretic or a singleton. Both of these greatly amplify your natal Jupiter energy, but it can go either way. You may run away from it and end up restricting yourself, never taking chances, and holding yourself back; or you may go too far, take risks that are foolhardy, and constantly mess things up. You need to find middle ground here, and be smart with your expansive energy, with what you choose to pursue, and with the opportunities you take advantage of. If you can exercise some discipline and make use of your smarts, you can create all of your own luck whenever you want.
